This has been a game changer for my 7mth old Labrador.
I was worried about using a slip lead but with this having a non choke bung has been brilliant

This is my fourth Ruffwear collar, I’ve two dogs. I absolutely love them and my last one lasted 7 years, which is remarkable considering how much use it gets.
The quality and functionality is second to none!

The quality of the slip lead I bought from Mountian Dog is far superior than any of the other leads I have purchased recently for my Airedale puppy. Should last far longer too.

Chosen to use on an over enthusiastic Cockapoo. Didn't want a full choke so the ability to position the stops and control the cinch sold it to me. And the dog is walking better now too.

This is an excellent lead. Love the colour and the quality. As a slip lead, it doesn't tighten too much around my dog's head/neck. Love the two bumpers which also helps give me confidence that it won't get too tight. We used to have a leather slid lead but it tightened too much and started to wear quickly, this lead is made of strong material and i have every confidence in it not failing. Ruffwear products are excellent and it was great to be able to save a little bit of money to purchase it via Mountain Dog

Really good strong rope, handle is really comfortable to hold. Only thing is the metal ring is quite small, it does release but perhaps not a quick as a normal slip lead does.

I’d just say it’s ok. Did it stop my dog pulling? No. Is it better than a similar lead I bought on Amazon for a third of the price? No. It’s softer on the hands but I don’t think it’s worth the price tag personally.

It's very strong and well made, the silicon stops are simple to use and don't move in use, the length is great and although it's 11mm thick cord it doesn't feel bulky, is very flexible and feels comfortable in the hand, I use a clicker and there is an additional loop just below the hand loop where I attach the clicker cord and the lead cord is large enough to attach the clicker so it is always near to my hand, In my opinion this is an excellent lead and well worth the money

Fab slip lead- super comfy handle and love the double rubber stoppers for safety your dog won’t slip out or get too tight around the neck.

Ruffwear - Just-a-Cinch Fireweed Pink
This is more of a 3.5. The quality is really good and the lead is very comfortable to hold. This is my favourite lead.
However, my partner is uncomfortable using a cinch lead for fear of harming the dog. I am less concerned but the rubber bungs don't hold their position adequately so they don't give the 'safety' reassurance they're meant to. To overcome the limitations, we've attached a carabiner to the end and are using it as a normal clip-on lead.
Would I buy it again? probably not, but I'm confident in the brand.

5 stars for quality of the rope and comfy handle. However the rubber stops move with the tightening of the neck slip. Loses stars as doesn’t release easily so requires manual intervention.

Excellent, robust lead and fit for purpose. My friend had a slip lead with the flap of leather stopper rather than the silicone stopper (as seen here) to hold the lead in place and quickly realised it was nowhere near as good as this one. They subsequently bought this lead aswell. I'm very happy with this lead.

Great slip lead - the silicone stopper works really well (especially in comparison to other slip leads we've had). The length of the lead is a bit longer than other slip leads we've had which is good for when we are walking him and letting him wander a bit.
